Landon doin boy stuff!

So I realized today that its been awhile since I've posted any recent pics of Landon. I will do that. I gave Landon a hair cut lst week, and man, I took a lot off. I cut it with a #4 attachment with sheers on the sides. I thought it looked cute, and i was impressed with my ability! Check out our pics :) Also, there is a picture of Landon eating in his high chair, and if you look to the right of his forhead, you can see a big goose egg. This happened a few weeks ago, but I wanted to show you all how big his goose egg got, and if you look closely, you can even see a little bit of a bloody nose that dried on his nose. I felt bad but when he fell down and got the bump on his head, he also had a little bloody nose. It went away quickly, but...poor kid, he took a tumble. I told him, "That's what happens when I tell you to come here, and you run away from me."

Getting ready!

Chris and I are really excited about going on our Vacation to North Carolin and to PA. Chris has never been to North Carolina, so I think it'll be a really cool trip for him. I'm excited to see my dad, and I think we'll have a really good time. I am hoping that Landon does alright with the transition of the time difference. I would hate for him to be onry the whole time cause he wont sleep enough. Usually, kids dont do the best when they're out of their comfort zone, and I'm hoping I dont have to deal with that. I hope it's nice out too when we go and visit. We have about 3 weeks until we head out! PEACE!

So Chris bought me the Twilight movie and I've watched it 6 times already. It's one of my favorite movies now. I'm watching it for the 7th time now. :) hahaha It's so funny cause i'm not sick of it yet.
Also, I noticed the other day that our ferret has blood in his stool, and so yesterday Chris and I took him to the vet, and they tested him for paristites, but he didnt have any..and also, they looked at other things, but they concluded that he has an ear infection, and a little bit of an upset GI tract probably because we changed his food recently. They said that it's good though that we took him in to the vet cause the cause of Cocoa being sick could have been worse. Anytime there is blood in their stool, its not good. They said that he could have an ulcer that eventually would kill him. The doctor asked me if he was grinding his teeth, and he wasn't however, today he started doing that. We origionally took cocoa to the vet because we noticed that he lost his appetite. So, we've been force feeding him with a syringe and he's been taking water on his own. But like i said, today when I was feeding him, I noticed he started grinding his teeth. Isn't it funny that Cocoa is on two antibiotics, and also a probiotic. The probiotic is suppoeably supposed to help his GI tract get better by adding good bacteria to it. Anyways, I think all is well...i just wanted to let everyone know that he's doing better. I swear, it's like I am taking care of 2 kids at the moment. :) What stinks is that we can't take Cocoa to my dads house with us on the airplane because I guess the airlines only allow cats and dogs. Weird huh? We're going to ask our bishop if he could keep an eye on Cocoa for us while we're gone. We dont think he'll mind. His family adopts pets for people..or something like that. So..anyways, I hope everything is alright with whoever is reading my blog. Make some comments Dang it!!!

Long day ...but it's a good one!

Hi, today has been such a long day! Chris has been working, and I babysat, and Landon hasn't slept for one minute today. I still think his sleep patern is off from when he was sick, and since we went to Utah. I hate when it gets thrown off. He'll just get soo fussy and he wont sleep. He hasn't been so bad yet today being fussy or anything. He's actually just sittin in his crib talkin to himself. It's really cute!
The long part of my day was when I went to babysit. The kids were really good...i just feel like i'm a maid at times cause she wants us to clean the house...and the kids dont help. It's annoying, and you can put the kids in time out ALL DAY, and they not learn. They are the 4 kids who are under the age of 4. I swear, they are always hungry too! I'm forever cookin or making food or cleanin up something they spill. It's quite frustering!
Overall though, today hasn't been too bad. I'm getting ready to make dinner! Wish me luck that it'll taste good. Shoot...i'm a good cook!

We got to see Corey

Man, today I found out that Landon's medical bill will be covered completely in full, and we dont have to worry about it. Of course I will continue to check with the Ambulance company and Vail hospital until the bill is paid in full, but we are so very grateful...because it's saving us about $3000. Cool huh?
Also, Corey seems to be doing alright at the moment. We got to see him Friday night and Saturday, and it was soo cool seeing him. Brian, Lauren, Evan, Ann, Chris, me, Braden and Corey had a fun day on Saturday playing basketball! They're good too! But of course, our team (Corey, Me, Evan, and Ann) whipped them in the game :) hehe naa, it was a close game!
Thanks Denise for keeping an eye on Landon while we went shopping for Landon. We know you love it, and it gives us a break from him for a minute, so anytime you wanna take him..you are welcome to! We love you guys a ton, and were very happy we could see you!

Hey, so today Chris and i found out that our brother...who is serving his mission in Greece will be coming home tomorrow night to Salt Lake. I guess he's been having medical problems, and the mission president and doctor in Greece said that he will be sent home, and released Honorably!
It's good new that he's being sent home so that he can get better medically but, i'm sure he'll miss his mission. Denise told us that he might get sent back out later if he gets better quickly but...who knows!

Staus!

So I wanted to give everyone the status on Landon. Today he has done great. He actually ate some food...well, a tuna sandwich...but later on this evening, he threw it up! So, maybe he wasn't ready afterall for that yet. I've been keeping him on fluids and he's active but he's really pale. If you were looking at him, you could see it too, his lips are kinda grey lookin, and the tops of his ears look the same color. They had him on oxygen at the hospital because his oxygen level (sats) were low...and I can tell that he still doesn't feel good. He keep coughing, but overall, he's getting better. I'm trying to continue to be optimistic about it cause if i wasn't, I'd be driving myself crazy worryin about him. Actually...I AM optimistic but I'm STILL driving myself crazy worrying about him. Maybe it's just me being a parent. I dont think i'll be able to sleep well until I KNOW for a fact that he's overcome this whole ordeal. He is getting better though. I still can't believe that all happened to him. He's a little trooper! :)

Scarey DAY!

So today was the scarest day ever for me and my family! I went babysitting at 9:30 this morning, and Landon was alright. We got him out of bed and he was acting normal. Well....to make a long story short, he's had a fevor for a few days...but it spiked today and he had a Fevoral Seizure. It was the scarest thing ever. I watched him lose consciousness and turn blue, and I'm telling you, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I really thought he was dying. No joke...and I called 911. The ambulance came to the house where I was babysitting and took us to the hospital. The father of the little boy I was babysitting was downstairs working so he just watched his own kid while we went to the Hospital. But, Man, it was the scarest day of my life cause I thought I was losing my child. I can't explain the horror I had in my head and in my heart when he quit breathing. His eyes rolled back in his head, and he bit down really hard, and was unconscious for about a minute. I know that it's not long...but it seems like eternity when its happening. And even after he came to..., he was loopy and he looked cross-eyed. I thought he had brain damage...but he doesnt. I guess that's what people look like when they're coming out of a seizure. Trust me, it's not a site that you ever want to have to see! I've never been so scared in my whole life.
Right now, Landon is asleep in his room, and he's safe and okay! But...we have to keep a close watch on him for the next 48 hours and we have a drs apt tomorrow to check on him again. If you would like, please keep him in your prayers. We would appreciate it. Thanks!

My sick little man

So right now Landon is laying down because he's still sick. He's been so lethargic for the past few days. I had an appointment at the clinic today and they checked his iron level, and they said that he is Anemic. Sad huh? I have to start feeding him some more high Iron foods like red meat, and peanut butter, and beans. Riiiiiight, like he's going to eat any beans. haha. He's not really a picky eater, but he's never really wanted to eat Beans! They checked his iron level by pricking his finger. I felt sooo bad because he's already sick...and now they have to prick his little finger. He was soooo tired today, and he's been sleeping a lot for the past few days. He only wants me! And its totally the sweetest ever! He wants me to hold him and everytime I sit him down if he's awake, he just cries. He never really cries either so it's so sad! I love him, and I dont care, I'll hold him every second of the day if it makes him feel better. I hate seein my baby sick!

Check out the picture of him just sitting on the couch. Yesterday morning he woke up when Chris went to work at 5:00am, and he just sat on the couch drinkin his juice. It was so cute! You can tell he's sick though. I've been giving him dinner but since he's sick, he hasn't really had an appetite.

Sick little baby!

Hi everyone. So guess what? Landon has been sick all day and all night today and last night. We realized once we were babysitting this past weekend that 2 of Alissa's kids had a cough, and her youngest had a fevor. It sucks cause I would have probably not babysat for her family cause I didn't want Landon to get sick. Well...he got sick! And he's had a temperature since last night to about 103.0 and he's been coughing. It's sad cause he just wants to be held. Remind me to get a perscription for medicine for when we go to to my mom and dads house this next month so just in case Landon gets sick or gets an ear ache from the plane ride, we can just get the perscription filled. I feel bad for him. He just mopes around. It's sad, and he's had a runny nose all day. Poor kid! I keep whiping it, and I swear he just looks at me with those puppy dog eyes, and it breaks my heart!
Dude, the funny thing is, I JUST TOLD MY DAD the other day that Landon never gets sick. He really doesn't though. Figures, he'd get sick now! It never fails!

HECTIC WEEKEND!

So this weekend has been a LONG ONE! Let me tell you....
Chris and I have been earning extra money by babysitting for this lady named Elissa who has 4 kids under the age of 4 yrs. Anyways, Alissa and her husband went to Michigan for a wedding and so she's paying me to watch her kids while she's out of town. Today is Sunday, and we have been babysitting her family since 5:30am Friday morning. Elissa called today and said that her connecting flight to Denver from Chicago is delayed from the weather..which means that she'll be home later than we planned. They were planning on being here around 8pm, but...who knows, they could get here tomorrow. It's been really frusterating cause Friday night...each kid got up in the middle of the night for one reason or another. Around 1am, their youngest Charlie got up and wanted a bottle, so I gave him one...but it took awhile to get back to sleep. He screamed and cried, and then woke up Landon, who was sleeping in our room. Then..Lydia, (one of the twin 4 yr old girls) got up and climbed into bed with Chris and I around 3am...THEN...Carter (the 3 year old boy) got up and was playin in the bathroom in the water at 4am trying to brush his teeth. He went to bed really early friday night. I thought he was just napping, and he slept until I went to bed, so he never had a chance to brush his teeth. He kept saying, "I need to brush my teeth". I said, "Carter, you dont need to brush your teeth, it's 4:00 in the morning." and then of course he started his whining. It was sooooo annoying! So...of course I just let him finish brushing his teeth. Then, Audrey peed the bed, so I had to deal with that the next morning!
Then, every kid got up at 6am for the day. I felt bad for Chris cause he's been working like 60+ hours a week and the kids did NOT let him sleep. Then... last night I had to get ALL of the kids bathed and changed for bed...and that was a handfull. Think about it, I had two 4 year olds, one 3 year old, and two 1 year olds to bath and get their hair blow dryed. It wore me out! Then today...I had to get them all ready for their church, and then get myself to my own church along with my own family. It was sucky! If it were up to me, I would have probably just skipped today cause it was such a hassle getting EVERYONE READY on time, and trying to find shoes and pack diaperbags and get them fed. It was stressful. But I teach the 6 year olds in Primary so I HAD to be there! Chris and I had to take 2 separate cars to church cause I had to stay the whole time, and he had to come back to their house to be here when the kids got home from church. . . and then of course to make it even more hectic...Chris' phone died in church, and my keys to my car were in the diaperbag..and he took the diaperbag and Landon to their house, so I didn't have a way home from church. A nice family from our Ward brought me to their house...and then Chris had to go back to work...and so right now the kids are napping...well, not all of them, the others are sitting right next to me watching "Open Season". Man, I can't wait for today to be over with. I'll tell you what. I am soooo beat. Remind me NEVER to have 5 kids under the age of 4years. It'll never happen..I'll tell you that much. But anyways, wish us luck that we get tons of money! We deserve it!

We rearranged everything in our livingroom cause we finally got our new 75 gallon tank! There's not water in it yet, but..we should get the rest of the piping and tubing today from FED-X. Just wanted you guys to see it! We still have a Canpoy thing that goes over the lighting on the aquarium that we haven't put on yet. It'll look a ton better when that is attached.

Curious little man!

Take a look at these pictures. It starts off with Landon making his way into the bathroom...

Then, he goes straight for the bathtub filled with Water..

Of course he tests me...after I tell him to get away from the water. He wasn't listening...and soon after he plays in the water, he leans over..and goes head first into the tub. Check out the water all over his face. I caught him...so he didn't hurt himself...but I think it scared him cause he got a face full of water. Check out him cryin in the last picture. He quit after like 30 seconds of crying..and then he started all over again tryin to get into the tub. How many times does it take for a kid to get hurt or scared before he quits doing it? hehe.
I just thought it was cute. His shirt was soaked with water. And I just admire his curiousity and persistance. Even though it might take him awhile to learn something...

I still love him, and I learn more and more patience everyday!

A nice run!

Tonight, Landon and I went on another jog together. Chris had to work again and he'll get home around 11:30pm. It was a nice run. I like the feeling of being exhausted after I run. I can't explain the rush that I get from it...but it makes me want to eat healthy and stay in shape. It's almost Landon's bedtime...and then I'm going to watch movies and enjoy my night alone! :)
