So...tomorrow is the SuperBowl, so Landon has been sporting his Steeler Outfits all weekend. We took these pictures today. LETS GO STEELERS!

Landon wants to be like Cocoa

Dude...so yesterday Chris opened Cocoa's cage so that we could clean it out, and while I was helping Chris throw away the dirty litter, Landon decided he wanted to climb into Cocoa's cage. I walked into the mudroom, and saw Landon in the cage. I was like..."Landon, what are you doing in there?" and he started to pick up Cocoas food and eat it. I'm like...ugh, Yeah, Landon you dont eat that. I took him out of the cage, and he was soooo sad. He cried for like 10 minutes until we finished cleaning the cage. It was funny...but sad at the same time. Check out the pics!

Back in Action

Hey EVERYONE! I just wanted to do an update and tell everyone that we FINALLY have our computer back and it's running just fine! We even bought a new battery for it cause it was a way good deal!
Anyways, Hi Emily! and Hi dad! I haven't talked to you guys in awhile! I'm hoping your all doing fine. I'm glad Grandma Astle that your able to see my blog finally cause my colors aren't so extreme anymore! Anyways, Kent and Denise, we love you guys, and Brian and Lauren, and Evan and Ann, I hope you all are doing alright and we love you too. We miss you guys! Landon is walking all over the place. It's crazy! It's cute, but man, he IS SPOILED! I get annoyied at times cause he really is just spoiled and he knows it! I'm trying to break him from it...but he doesn't like it too much! I feel bad just letting him cry cause it gives me a headache, and I feel like it's mean but...trust me! HE IS SPOILED, and thats what he needs. I try ignoring him when he throws his fits, but man, it gives me a headache and it's tough. Thanks to all of the great family that we have..it's tough being away from you all. We're back in action now...so if you need anything..dont hesitate to email me! Love you all!

Recently our computer broke, and it wont turn on at all. I wanted to leave a message and tell all who are keeping in touch that once I get my computer back..which will be around February 14th... I will be updating some more pics. Until then....Just hang in there...we'll be back around shortly!

YAY STEELERS!

So today...The STEELERS beat the Chargers. They straight up whipped them! I'm happy too! Every team that has played so far...Chris and I have predicted the winner! Man, are we good or what? Next week will be a tough game for the STEELERS....just cause Baltimore has one of the best defenses in the league, but I KNOW that the STEELERS will pull it off! Baltimore is just another stepping stone for us to go to the SUPERBOWL. How about those STEELERS!

Today was eating a popsicle, and i was hiding it from landon cause usually if he sees it, he wants it! haha. Well...i figured i'd give in, and let him have the last part on the stick if he wanted it. So...heres a video of him eating it! I'm not sure if the video shows him laughin or not, but he was so excited when I first gave him the stick. haha He gives me these faces all the time...and they crack me up! He gets so excited when I give him candy or icecream. He just smiled. Check out the video

Best times of being a mother~

So, this morning...I took a shower while Landon was asleep. Well, I guess he had a bad dream or something, cause he woke up crying and he wanted me! I didn't know why he was crying so I hurried up and ran to his bedroom. Yeah, he pretty much just wanted me! It was the cutest thing. When I went into his room, I said, "Hows my baby doing?" and he actually answered me! It sounded like he said. "Good". It was so cute. Now,....... maybe he really didn't answer me, or maybe he really did! I'd like to think that he did though.
Anyways, I picked him up from his bed, and let him go into the bathroom with me while I finished showering. He played on the floor mostly...until he insisted on trying to get into the shower with me. He kept opening the shower curtain and the water was goin everywhere! I know that it wasn't the best decision to let him get water everywhere...so I did try not to get too much on the floor, but I couldn't help but admire Landon's will to get INTO the tub, and the curiosity of WHERE the water was coming from since it was coming from way over his head. It was the cutest thing! He laughed so hard and kept tilting his head trying to dodge the water from hitting his face. Of course I had a mess to clean up on the floor of the bathroom afterwards, but I didnt care. Landon is just the best baby ever, and I'm just so glad that I am mother. It's the little things....like this experience today that makes me KNOW that I wouldnt want my life any other way. It's the greatest blessing EVER!

Landon's first Happy Meal

On our way back to Colorado, from visiting our family in Utah, we stopped at McDonalds to get Landon his first Happy Meal. Ohh my goodness. It was just cute watching him drink out of the Apple Juice box. We got him the 6 piece nugget meal, and man, he chowed it down! He loves chicken nuggests. We got him an "under three" toy, and he loved it too! He just laughed and giggled. He thought it was so funny that I gave him the Whole nugget. Eventually I broke it into pieces cause he was able to eat it faster. Anyways, I wanted to show you all his first happy meal pics!

So today is New Years Eve, and to me it doesn't seem like it too much! Chris has to work all day again, and Landon and I are hangin out!!! Usually we're with Family...but not this year. We are our own family though, and it's time that we make our own traditions! Chris and I are giong to stay awake...probably not til the New though...and we're going to play games as a family...and enjoy our new tradition!
My computer hasn't turned on for 2 days..so I haven't been able to upload any pics from our time in Utah. We had such a wonderful time at my inlaws house! They sure are great! They bought landon the cuttest stuff this year. They got him some clothes, and some toys, and some books, any my favorite, a rocking horse that Landon can ride on. It is ADORABLE..and Landon loves it! Right now I'm burning some pictures and videos onto some cd's so that if my computer decides not to turn back on..i'll have all of my pics and videos of Landon up to date. One thing that I do NOT want to lose is my pics and videos of my baby! You can never get that back when you lose it..and..I'm not losing them!
My dad sent us some money for Christmas...and we are so grateful because it totally helps us out! Thanks again dad!
We got to hang out with Emily, Chad and Rayden too. Man, I needed to see them too. I was totally goin through some withdrawls of needing to see them. I feel like they are all I have that is close to my family from home! Rayden is getting so big...and has so many teeth it's crazy. He even talks and says "Santa". He says, "HO HO HO!" too. He's just adorable! Anyways, i'll post another comment as soon as I get all of my pictures and videos copied.

Landon Walking FINALLY

So, this is a video of Landon walking. Everyday for the past week, Chris and I have been letting Landon practice walking by walking to Chris and I back and forth. He loves doing it. It was extremely tough getting a video of him doing it because it's hard holding the camera..AND being there to catch him at the same time. The video isn't the best quality, but at least you get to see him do his new trick. He does soo good, and we're proud of him. Check out our baby boy FINALLY walking!

Landon was sporting his new hair cut, and hangin out with Mommy and Daddy today. We took a cute picture of him. Check it out! We also video taped him eating his sucker after his hair cut. We hurried up and put him in the tub cause he was so sticky. He even had sucker in his hair. Check out him laughing in his video! Ohh, and turn up your sound!

First Haircut

He was making the wierdest face here....he looks chubby. hehe

Today is December 20th, and today is the day that we gave Landon his very first haircut. His hair was getting sooo long and he started to get a mullet. I told Chris...LANDON IS NOT GOING TO HAVE A MULLET...so I decided to cut it. He did really good. I figured that if I gave him a tootsie pop, he would be just fine, and I was right. He was so distracted by his sucker that he let me cut whatever I want. Check out some pictures of his first hair cut. I like to spike his hair when I fix it, and I'm so glad that I can do it again. I cut off sooo many curls. It was sad! Hopefully they'll grow back though. I'll let you see how I fix it also.

Winter Wonderland!

So, yesterday in Eagle, we received over a foot and a half of snow. We're supposed to get a ton more tonight too. Chris and I took Landon out and played in the snow..and it was sooo much fun! Landon loved it! He looked so cute all bundled up. See it for yourself!

VAg Architects and Planning Party...check this out!

So last night we went to VAg's party. It was actually a lot of fun! I had Prime Rib...which isn't the best. It was totally NOT COOKED...so Emily if you read this, dont ever get Prime Rib! It's all fat AND the meat is RED and BLOODY! Ugh, Chris liked it, but I dont like my meat like that. I made them cook it more. I felt bad even asking. The waiter looked at me like I was nuts. The waiter said that they dont usually overcook prime Rib. Who knows though...I made them do it for me. It was gross all bloody and stuff. Chris ended up getting Surp-n-Turf. It was a lobster/shrimp Filet minon...however you spell that. Anyways, we shared dinners...and had a good time.
They gave away white elephant gifts...and previously drew people's names. This lady named Suzanne had Chris' name and she knows that we're huge Steeler fans. She's a Bronco's fan..so she made Chris AND Landon dress up as a Bronco Barrel....Check out Landon. The cardboard was too big on him. He couldn't even stand up. He didn't know WHAT I was doin to him when I put on his outfit. The barrel said "Steelers SUCK" and had this huge Bronco on the front. Check out the pics.

A few years ago, I was sitting in my living room watching a Steeler Game. All of a sudden, a highlight clip of a Broncos game came on. A feeling of joy and excitement came over me and took me by suprise. I thought perhaps it was just delayed adrenaline and anxiety from watching the Steelers get crushed by the Eagles, so I didn't think much of it.
After some time, I realized I had never experienced that kind of excitement before. I had been a Steelers fan all my life, but maybe something was wrong. While I started paying more attention to Broncos highlights, I realized how great I felt and how amazing the Broncos were. . . John Elway, Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharp, Ed McCaffrey. I realized that moment that I had been lying to myself my whole life.
I tried to bury the thoughts and emotions, but after a while I couldn't take it anymore. About a year ago, I told my wife that to feel any kind of accomplishment in my life, I had to move to Colorado and become the new Barrel Man.
Now I can accomplish my dream and share the wonderful experience and life goal with my son. We are now a duo of tradition and dedication to the team I love. "GO BRONCOS!!!"
