Sick little baby!

Hi everyone. So guess what? Landon has been sick all day and all night today and last night. We realized once we were babysitting this past weekend that 2 of Alissa's kids had a cough, and her youngest had a fevor. It sucks cause I would have probably not babysat for her family cause I didn't want Landon to get sick. Well...he got sick! And he's had a temperature since last night to about 103.0 and he's been coughing. It's sad cause he just wants to be held. Remind me to get a perscription for medicine for when we go to to my mom and dads house this next month so just in case Landon gets sick or gets an ear ache from the plane ride, we can just get the perscription filled. I feel bad for him. He just mopes around. It's sad, and he's had a runny nose all day. Poor kid! I keep whiping it, and I swear he just looks at me with those puppy dog eyes, and it breaks my heart!
Dude, the funny thing is, I JUST TOLD MY DAD the other day that Landon never gets sick. He really doesn't though. Figures, he'd get sick now! It never fails!

HECTIC WEEKEND!

So this weekend has been a LONG ONE! Let me tell you....
Chris and I have been earning extra money by babysitting for this lady named Elissa who has 4 kids under the age of 4 yrs. Anyways, Alissa and her husband went to Michigan for a wedding and so she's paying me to watch her kids while she's out of town. Today is Sunday, and we have been babysitting her family since 5:30am Friday morning. Elissa called today and said that her connecting flight to Denver from Chicago is delayed from the weather..which means that she'll be home later than we planned. They were planning on being here around 8pm, but...who knows, they could get here tomorrow. It's been really frusterating cause Friday night...each kid got up in the middle of the night for one reason or another. Around 1am, their youngest Charlie got up and wanted a bottle, so I gave him one...but it took awhile to get back to sleep. He screamed and cried, and then woke up Landon, who was sleeping in our room. Then..Lydia, (one of the twin 4 yr old girls) got up and climbed into bed with Chris and I around 3am...THEN...Carter (the 3 year old boy) got up and was playin in the bathroom in the water at 4am trying to brush his teeth. He went to bed really early friday night. I thought he was just napping, and he slept until I went to bed, so he never had a chance to brush his teeth. He kept saying, "I need to brush my teeth". I said, "Carter, you dont need to brush your teeth, it's 4:00 in the morning." and then of course he started his whining. It was sooooo annoying! So...of course I just let him finish brushing his teeth. Then, Audrey peed the bed, so I had to deal with that the next morning!
Then, every kid got up at 6am for the day. I felt bad for Chris cause he's been working like 60+ hours a week and the kids did NOT let him sleep. Then... last night I had to get ALL of the kids bathed and changed for bed...and that was a handfull. Think about it, I had two 4 year olds, one 3 year old, and two 1 year olds to bath and get their hair blow dryed. It wore me out! Then today...I had to get them all ready for their church, and then get myself to my own church along with my own family. It was sucky! If it were up to me, I would have probably just skipped today cause it was such a hassle getting EVERYONE READY on time, and trying to find shoes and pack diaperbags and get them fed. It was stressful. But I teach the 6 year olds in Primary so I HAD to be there! Chris and I had to take 2 separate cars to church cause I had to stay the whole time, and he had to come back to their house to be here when the kids got home from church. . . and then of course to make it even more hectic...Chris' phone died in church, and my keys to my car were in the diaperbag..and he took the diaperbag and Landon to their house, so I didn't have a way home from church. A nice family from our Ward brought me to their house...and then Chris had to go back to work...and so right now the kids are napping...well, not all of them, the others are sitting right next to me watching "Open Season". Man, I can't wait for today to be over with. I'll tell you what. I am soooo beat. Remind me NEVER to have 5 kids under the age of 4years. It'll never happen..I'll tell you that much. But anyways, wish us luck that we get tons of money! We deserve it!

We rearranged everything in our livingroom cause we finally got our new 75 gallon tank! There's not water in it yet, but..we should get the rest of the piping and tubing today from FED-X. Just wanted you guys to see it! We still have a Canpoy thing that goes over the lighting on the aquarium that we haven't put on yet. It'll look a ton better when that is attached.

Curious little man!

Then, he goes straight for the bathtub filled with Water..

Of course he tests me...after I tell him to get away from the water. He wasn't listening...and soon after he plays in the water, he leans over..and goes head first into the tub. Check out the water all over his face. I caught him...so he didn't hurt himself...but I think it scared him cause he got a face full of water. Check out him cryin in the last picture. He quit after like 30 seconds of crying..and then he started all over again tryin to get into the tub. How many times does it take for a kid to get hurt or scared before he quits doing it? hehe.
I just thought it was cute. His shirt was soaked with water. And I just admire his curiousity and persistance. Even though it might take him awhile to learn something...

I still love him, and I learn more and more patience everyday!

A nice run!

Tonight, Landon and I went on another jog together. Chris had to work again and he'll get home around 11:30pm. It was a nice run. I like the feeling of being exhausted after I run. I can't explain the rush that I get from it...but it makes me want to eat healthy and stay in shape. It's almost Landon's bedtime...and then I'm going to watch movies and enjoy my night alone! :)

All work and no play....

Right now it is 7pm on Saturday February 28th, and Chris went to work at the Resort, and Landon just went to sleep for the night. I'm watching Happy Gilmore on tv and playin on the computer. Dude, Chris has worked so much this week. He worked at the airport for about 45 hours this week..and thats within 4 days...and then tonight and tomorrow he's working 20 hours between the two. See! My husband takes care of us! Landon and I went and worked at the church today, and hung out with Chris for a little bit before he went to work. We took a run this afternoon...and man, it was soo nice to get out of the house and exercise. When the weather starts warming up, Chris and I are going to exercise some more. I lost over 10 pounds when we moved here to Colorado cause we started exercising! The winter always puts on a few pounds though so i'm not stressing too much. I just like being in shape. Overall, Today's been a good day!

New Toy!

Chris and I wanted to get Landon some of the ALPAHBET magnets for the refrigerator so that it will help him learn his letters. Right now he likes moving them all over the place, and it's really fun to watch him interact with the letters. I look retarded in these pictures but...I wanted to show you me and Landon playing with his new magnets. There is also a picture of Landon holding his blanky! He loves his blanky! I washed it today so it's nice and clean and soft for him for bed tonight. It's getting late...and it's past his bedtime so I've gotta get my munchkin ready for bed.

Astle events!

Hi Everyone...
Just wanted to let everyone know how things are goin at the Astle home! Chris has been working hard at the airport, and I still get up with him early everyday to make sure he has breakfast. The airport will close down soon, and Chris will start another job at Beaver Creek Resort. He's been working there on his days off for training, and he said that he likes it, so I'm happy! I've been workin at the church, and Landon has been the best helper! He likes to ride on this little garbage cart thing thats at the church...and it is hilarious. I started making a game out of it and making "vroom vroom" noises, and he cracks up laughin. It's adorable! Landon has taken 2 naps today...I think I wore him out at the church today when we went there to clean so he's napping for the second time right now! He slept for like 3 hours this afternoon from like 10:30am until about 1:30pm, and it was so cute. Around 12:00pm, I took him out of his crib and laid him with me. He just snuggled for awhile until he decided he wanted to wake up and play!
I love being a mom...I dont know how some people like being single. I seriously have the best husband ever...and I really feel like I'm just greatful for what I have. I think about it a lot...when I actually have some time to think...(usually that's when Landon's sleeping or late at night when I'm the only one up). I know that we dont have all the money in the world...but I really feel like it doesn't matter. I appreciate the fact that we have "some" money to live off of...hehe but ya know? Money isn't everything! I'd rather be loved and have a family...than have all the money in the world.
I'm just lucky I guess!

Wing Night

So last night, Chris, me and Landon went to the "Tap Room" in Vail for wing night! It was a lot of fun, and it's only $5.00 a person for all you can eat wings, and they have different types of wings available. A guy that Chris works with at the airport owns the "The Tap Room" and so that's how we heard about the deal. Anyways, we noticed that Landon's Steeler hat is getting too small on him. It's his winter hat...the one that says "Future Steeler". Either his head is getting bigger or his hat is getting smaller. Actually...it's both if you think about it! Anyways...gotta go and get ready for another day of being a mommy!

Hey...so I'm finally getting back to babysitting. I was gone visiting Emily, Chad & Rayden for a weekend in Utah last week, and when I got back to Colorado, the family that I tend to...were ALL sick. I usually watch their kids 2 or 3 times a week...and make a good bit of money...however since they were all sick, we didn't wanna get Landon or me sick so we didn't end up babysitting! Too bad! I missed out on the cash...but I also had a week off! It was nice having a break though. Anyways today I'm going back over to their house for another day!

The Zaccheus Family ROCKS!

So lately...I've been working on collecting information for my family history. My church has encouraged us to continue working on it, and so I've been doing that. This past week, I was able to talk to my aunt Solidad for the first time ever. I also was able to talk to my aunt Tita (Alma) and she was really nice to me too! She was, at the time I was talking with her, visiting my grandpa Zaccheus and so I was able to speak with him too. What a blessing that was. I have always wanted to get to know my dad's family, and it was such a great opportunity to be able to talk to my grandpa who adopted my dad when he was very young. He's been really sick, and so I just feel blessed to be able to actually hear his voice...even if I never hear it again. He said that he would really like to meet me and my family, and it just meant a lot because...dude, that's my grandpa!
Anyways, just wanted to share that with ya'll! :)

So Hi Everyone. I just wanted to send a blog and tell everyone that this weekend February 14th, Chris and I are driving up to Logan, and staying with Emily, Chad, and Rayden for the weekend, until Monday! I'm really excited to see Emily and her family, and some of my friends. I miss them all a ton!

I have a great husband!

Hey Everyone...just wanted to say hi, and tell everyone that things are going great here at our place! Landon is napping at the moment..so I actually have time to post a message! Chris is the best husband ever, and he really works hard for our family. I just wanted everyone to know that I really am lucky! Yesterday I was having the worst day...and he took Landon for about an hour while I cooked dinner...and it was just great! I was so stressed cause Landon kept throwing his chicken on the floor...and soon after it became a game with his sippy cup. I just wasn't really in the mood to play that game while I was cooking so Chris decided to take Landon. Yeah, he's a great husband, and I couldn't ask for anyone better.

Landon wants to be like Cocoa

Dude...so yesterday Chris opened Cocoa's cage so that we could clean it out, and while I was helping Chris throw away the dirty litter, Landon decided he wanted to climb into Cocoa's cage. I walked into the mudroom, and saw Landon in the cage. I was like..."Landon, what are you doing in there?" and he started to pick up Cocoas food and eat it. I'm like...ugh, Yeah, Landon you dont eat that. I took him out of the cage, and he was soooo sad. He cried for like 10 minutes until we finished cleaning the cage. It was funny...but sad at the same time. Check out the pics!
